i know next to nothing about swapdream so im making up my OWN swapped dream just so i can use him in my mind for fgod error concepts.
anyways thinking about a multiverse which combines fgod concept and swapdream concept to make a scenario where error can arrive at dreams doorstep at his lowest low point and search for help.
dream gives him positivity and makes him rely on him so much. because error hasnt known any warmth and comfort for all of his life (which is LONG. im estimating around one million years at this point.) he ends up abandoning his own morals for dreams morals.
and since i uh. didnt know the og swapdreams end goal i end up making this dreams goal to eradicate all negativity.
which leads to him making error destroy all the negative universes.
maybe they also fuck along the way. idk. gay sex or whatever. its an imbalanced relationship. but i do know that they both experience attraction to each other, albeit in much different ways.

You got the base of OG swap!dream right, actually! His goal is to technically eradicate negativity- but not Nightmare. Swap!Dream’s goal is to protect Nightmare from everyone who hates him in the multiverse by killing them or seducing them/making them happy and making Negativity so rare that no one will EVER harbor bad feelings for Nightmare. So he would absolutely ask Erratum to destroy the negative AUs.
However, I feel like this would be an EXTREME point of contention between the two, at least at first. FGOD!Error knows how not only his balance works, but how Dream and Nightmare’s balance works. If he were to just follow Dream’s will, it would disrupt the already fragile and easy to break balance. It would take some SERIOUS convincing and work for him to go through with that, and if he does, Nightmare is in serious trouble and he’d probably feel horrible for it. Even after talking to Dream again.

i feel like... after all the comfort he gets after his whole life of hurt... he has a chance of going thru with it.
in normal conditions where he isnt at his lowest low (which is a VERY important factor) he wouldnt go through with it. but him, having never felt this way before, would have a chance of giving in.
like him being at the lowest point in his life would affect his choices and actions. because that kinda thing makes ppl desperate.
he would know it was wrong but dream would use the "you dont want others to feel the way you did" plus "if they didnt care about your balance, then why should you care about this one?" to convince him.
also error did void himself in canon. he did leave his multiverse to rot. that was canon. and he was at his lowest low.
so it IS possible for this to happen i guess? him losing his care for the balance i mean.
especially if dream tries to convince him hes in the right for it.
